I have had this tutorial filmed for about a year thinking a video would be so much easier than photographing and writing out each step…apparently I was wrong haha. Here was my original “sneak peek”
But alas, it is finally finished. I would suggest watching once and then having it open and pausing on each step if you want to do it yourself. It’s a bit fast paced, but nothing a pause button can’t handle.
Also, can I just be real for a sec?I had a lot of guilt (not that anyone else was putting on me, only myself) for not getting this done sooner. I kept telling people, “I think i might get it done this week!” and I would sit down to work on it only to get in a rut again. Sometimes I imagine all of these people sitting at home saying, “she said she was going to do this thing and hasn’t done ANYTHING!” I know that’s not true (and if it is I think I prefer not to know hah) Those feelings coupled with a comment received on a random free tutorial the other day basically telling me the tutorial wasn’t good and left her frustrated and annoyed :(. I almost didn’t want to post at all. But then I remembered all of the work I have already put into filming this, the fact that I do this FOR FREE! and that there were dozens of sweet comments to balance out the one rude one. So I decided to press on.
All of that to say, I hope that you enjoy this tutorial and will even share it with other friends that sew. I am very aware that it is not perfect and that there is room for improvement, but always remember there is someone behind the scenes working to make something happen and just doing the best they can with what they have been given. 😉
For me this blog is currently a fun break from the many other things I do in life and a way to keep my love for sewing active in a fun relaxing way while I have young children at home and have my hands in many many other projects.
Thanks for sticking around!
